An established fabrication/construction company is looking for an experienced (and Trade Tested) Diesel Mechanic for their operations in the Delmas area on the far East Rand/Mpumalanga border (Contract position with possible Permanent appointment)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance on vehicles and facility machinery/equipment – examples include Generators, Interior and Exterior saws, Welding machines, Croppers, Compressors, Spray pumps, Hoses, Cranes, Plasma Machine
- Repairs on vehicles and various company equipment
- General Breakdowns and call out support as required
- Support of general maintenance at the company premises
- Completion of daily maintenance and repair logs
- Maintain and secure tools and containers
- Clean and maintain work area and company vehicles
- General trouble shooting and fault finding – vehicles, equipment and facilities
- Other related/relevant duties as may be assigned
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Red Seal Qualified Diesel Mechanic – NOT Negotiable!
- MUST have 4 to 6 Years Diesel Mechanic experience within a Construction and Transportation environment
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with Cylinders, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Varied repair experience on Trucks, Trailers, Forklifts, Cherry Pickers and Cranes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, line diagrams and schematics
- Good mathematical skills and ability to convert various units of measure
- Valid Code 14 with PDP Drivers Licence
- Salary is dependent on technical expertise, years of experience and relevant industry experience
