Job Purpose:
Bidvest International Logistics is looking to appoint a Financial Controller that has a particular passion for reporting, data analysis and particular and developed knowledge and intesest in taxation/SARS reporting and submissions.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for accurate reporting to stakeholders and BIL Management in line with monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting requirements as well as adhoc requests. BBBEE financial reporting components also forms a key part of this role.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- CA (SA) qualification
- Minimum 3 years financial reporting experience in a Financial environment essential.
- Knowledge of Cargo Wise One / Edi-Enterprise and Assetware would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of HFM would be advantageous.
- VAT and Company Tax knowledge and experience essential
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook at an advanced level
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:-
- Driving efficiencies and process improvements in key deliverables
- Assistance with month end reporting submission
- B-BBEE Reporting finance inputs
- Manage cash flow forecast on daily basis. Check for accuracy and completeness.
- Preparation of AFS
- Internal and external audit assistance
- Implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets
- All VAT and Tax relation submissions and queries
- Prepare and check consolidated vat schedule for accuracy and completeness
- Administrator for updating bank mandates and assist in control of FNB online users
- Liaise with divisions finance departments on key deliverables
- Responsible for the consolidation of key reporting, variance analysis and commentary
