To ensure continuous plant availability through effective and safe maintenance work on electrical equipment and related electrical systems.
Secunda Operations (SO) operates the world’s largest coal-to-liquids (CTL) facility and produces synthesis gas (syngas) through coal gasification and natural gas reforming, using Sasol’s unique and proprietary Fischer-Tropsch technology to manufacture synthetic fuel components, pipeline gas and chemical feedstock.
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- Safety and good housekeeping
- Maintenance on all electrical equipment and related electrical systems
- Fault finding and participation in RCA’s
- Implementation of modifications
- Read and understand Electrical diagrams
- Standby duties
- Use SAP system to load notifications and do other related system activities

Willing to work overtime as / when required

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / N3 with English, Maths and Science (SG or HG) (Must)
- Trade test certificate- NQF 4 (Must)
- Able to communicate and correspond in English
- Valid driver’s license (Must)
Experience:
- Experience in an Electrical environment
- Switching experience
- Fault finding experience
- Electrical motors
- Mechanical experience, pump, pulleys and alignment (wish)
- Transformer maintenance
- Switchgear maintenance
- Knowledge and skills of emergency procedures
