Job Description

Are you currently unemployed, between the ages of 18 – 35 years and want to be part of the Tenacity team?

Grab this opportunity where you will be given the chance to study and work AT THE SAME TIME! We are offering a 15 month employment contract, which includes a 12 month Learnership programme where successful applicants will attend classroom-based training combined with practical on-the-job work experience in the call centre environment to obtain a nationally recognised qualification in Contact Centre Operations.

In addition to a Contact Centre and BPO qualification and relevant work experience, the successful applicant will also gain business, personal and technical call centre skills which they can use across the business and throughout their career journey.

Preference will be given to Employment Equity & Disabled candidates in line with Tenacity’s transformation targets.

Call Centre Learners will be expected to:

  • Attend the required training interventions and successfully complete the competency assessments
  • Meet all the requirements for the successful completion of the Call Centre Operations certificate
  • Submit a Portfolio of Evidence
  • Everyday working in the call centre as scheduled

Key Responsibilities  

Performance 

  • Achieve agreed upon targets and outcomes as directed by management
  • Apply solid objection handling techniques
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships during calls
  • Achieve customer satisfaction at all times
  • Action customer instructions in an efficient and timeous manner
  • Action administrative requirements related to customer account management
  • Accurately and timeously capturing of client data
  • Dealing with inbound and/or outbound calls

Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure quality and accuracy - meet the standard of 95% and above
  • Adhere to call scripting

Adhoc

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related targets/results as contracted
  • Action any other instruction by Management from time to time

Job Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Have been unemployed for the last 3 months
  • A positive attitude
  • Commitment to a 15 months contract with Tenacity, which includes the 12 month learnership programme
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to work shifts / weekends
  • Should not be currently studying - full/part time

Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge:

  • Proficient in English
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with 95% accuracy
  • High problem solving & negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to show empathy and handle customers sensitively
  • Ability to be flexible and display strong adaptability skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience
  • Time & self-management skills with the ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise
